Sangmyung University Job Plus Center’s Earning Best Rating for University Job Plus Center Project 2023

The Sangmyung University Job Plus Center got the highest grade for the second consecutive year in the 2023 University Job Plus Center Operation Performance Evaluation organized by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, Seoul Metropolitan Government, and the Korea Employment Information Service. The University Job Plus Center is a project by the Ministry of Employment and Labor to provide specialized employment services to current students and local young people by strengthening functional and spatial linkage and integration of career and employment support systems in universities, linking industries, and promoting employment. With this result of the highest grade, the Sangmyung University Job Plus Center has been recognized for the employment of current students and young people.

It is meaningful that Sangmyung University’s Job Plus Center has earned the best rating for a university job plus center project in 2023. This center has been in operation for 10 years from 2015 to 2024, and has operated 1,200 employment programs to provide more than 100,000 university students and local young people with business education, practical mock job interviews, and site visits including know-how about employment.
Receiving 450 million won from the Ministry of Employment and Labor in 2023 and 129 million won from the Seoul Metropolitan Government, the Sangmyung University Job Plus Center established an optimal employment support system for enrolled students and local youth and received the highest grade in the performance evaluation of the University Job Plus Center in 2023.
Programs and Activities
The Sangmyung University Job Plus Center has introduced many employment programs and activities for registered students and other young people who are preparing to find a job. It introduced career/employment programs in various fields such as preparation for public enterprises, support for extracurricular activities, certificates, and job interview preparation, and recently guided the recruitment of 2023 winter SM job camp and the domestic field practice semester system (second round) for the first semester of 2024.
In addition, the Center helps career exploration through examinations such as occupational aptitude test, job value test, and entrepreneurial aptitude test on its website, and provides tests so that people can explore on their own through an employment perception test and self-characteristics test. Furthermore, it introduces various recruitment information to support the practical time and provides counseling such as mentoring with a consultant.
It is clear that Sangmyung University Job Plus Center’s earning the best rating for a university job plus center project 2023 is an important result for us. This result shows that our university’s job plus center did great work to introduce and provide many programs and activities about employment and career for our university students and other young people who wants to get a job.
